Law in rem – simply explained, law & in English

Real Law – Real law determines the assignment of things in terms of possession and ownership. Ownership of land or property is a right in rem. Simply explained, this means that, for example, the ownership of their house becomes their common law right through land registration. This is then called, the right to possession and it is one of the fundamental laws of law. In the property law of the civil code the rights to the possession of things are regulated. Here the legal relations of things to persons and rights in rem are regulated. In Germany, rights in rem grant the owner complete authority over a thing.
