Day 1 – Arrival at Berlin Fashion Week 2017
Hello my loves, today I flew to Berlin with Soraya for you to visit the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and take you with me during all the highlights. Our first day was very stressful as we were just out and about and didn’t arrive at our accommodation until 6pm. However, we are looking forward to tomorrow. It’s going to be very exciting as we are going to shows and events such as Lena Hoschek and Dorothee Schuhmacher. We will of course keep you updated daily !
Day 2 with Lena Hoschek, Dorothee Schumacher, Farina Opoku, and many more.
Day 1 for us at Fashion Week and it started right at 10am with Dorothee Schuhmacher’s first show. It was at Kaufhaus Jandorf, one of the main venues of Fashion Week this year. At the show, the new trends for this season were on display. From teddy fabrics to mustard yellow colors, the designer presented selected pieces from her collection. In the middle of the crowd we met Cathy Hummels, wife of famous soccer star Mats Hummels and fashion icon. Directly afterwards we went to the MeCollectors Room to see the show of designer Brachmann. It was only a small handful of selected models, including Youtube star Sami Slimani.
The next show was already on the agenda.
This time Lena Hoschek, also at the Jandorf department store. Upon entering the show room, each guest found a goodie bag with selected pieces on the theme of Disney and especially Mickey Mouse. The show was also about Disney, bright colors and especially the theme of the 60s. Especially at this show there was a very big celebrity crowd. From Rolf Scheider to Johanna Klum and many bloggers, such as Caroline Einhoff and Farina Opoku was much represented. After the fantastic show we had the privilege to have an interview with Lena Hoschek. The very likeable and humorous woman made us laugh quite often and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. After so much and a long day we were both very tired and decided to take a little break in our accommodation before we went to the aftershow party of Lena Hoschek.
We are happy to be able to keep you up to date on a daily basis and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we did during Fashion Week!
Vlog Day 2 with Cathy Hummels and Elena Carriére
Day 3+4 at Berlin Fashion Week with Rolf Scheider
Unfortunately I have to tell you that I had to stay in bed on Wednesday plagued by tonsillitis and fever. However, Soraya was at the Maisonnoée as well as at the Rebekka Ruétz Show and told me only good things.
Luckily I felt better today, so I could visit the 2 shows for you. Ewa Herzog, who presented a very feminine collection with flowing fabrics and subtle colors and then the label ‘Steinrohner’ who presented young, sporty, fancy but still wearable fashion. It was very interesting to see how the audience changed completely between these two shows. Previously many women, style icons and bloggers and suddenly young, hip and exceptionally dressed people. After these two shows, the day at Fashion Week was already over for us and we used the rest of the day to catch up on work.
Tomorrow we will of course be back on the road for you and visit the last shows of this year’s Fashion Week. If you are interested in more details about today and the Fashion Week follow us on Instagram and on Snapchat : cocaine.models
Day 5 – Last show and last highlights with Nikeata Thompson
So fast the Fashion Week is already over. The last day is dawned and thus also for us the last show. This was also generally the last show of the entire Fashion Week and took place again in the department store Jandorf. The Swedish label ‘Odeur’ skilfully staged unusual, modern fashion. The theme black as well as special details like long ribbons on sleeves and jackets ran through the collection of the two young designers.
My conclusion, as a Fashion Week newcomer, is that it is much more stressful than I had imagined in advance. This may be due to the freezing temperatures, but you should not underestimate such a busy schedule! Despite all that it was of course an incredible experience ! We had a lot of fun and were allowed to feel like little stars for a week.
I hope you enjoyed my report and were able to get a good insight into the happenings of Fashion Week.
