New Delhi was created primarily in colonial times. Inspired by or even the “National Mall” in Washington, D.C.. (3.5 kilometer long road to the Capitol). At that time, England moved the capital from Calcutta to New Delhi in 1911. Now the government quarter is to be transformed for 2.7 billion US dollars! A small insight into the city history and the coming development, with video documentary.

Central Vista in New Delhi: XXL construction project

The capital was still designed under colonial times. Next to the old Delhi, a completely new government district was to be built. The new building was also inspired by European structures, including the “Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile” on the Avenue des Champs Élysées, in Paris. A similar arch can also be found in the Central Vista, New Delhi.

By the way, the Central Vista itself was inspired from the USA. More precisely, the National Mall (Washington, D.C.). A 3.5 kilometer long street with the Capitol at the end. The destination of the street is the center of political power. All streets run star-shaped on this area.

Now everything is being redesigned, including the parliament. From above, it resembles a ship’s propeller, three elements surrounded by a round circle. Learn more, in this new video.

Company over 1 billion value

India is developing faster and faster. This year, there were over 36 unicorns in India, that is, private companies with a valuation of over US$1 billion.

3 new Unicorns / year

Many want to start a company, many do. Companies going public in 2021 have raised real record amounts of money in the market. But they also face unique challenges in becoming even bigger.
